Most FP&A platforms can do most things in a demo. The differences that matter show up after go-live: who maintains the models, how much rebuilding was required, and whether the team actually adopted it.
Five questions that separate platforms
- Do we need to keep our spreadsheet models, or are we ready to rebuild?
- How complex is our entity and consolidation structure?
- Who outside Finance needs to plan in the system?
- Who will own and maintain it after implementation?
- How quickly do we need to see value?
Then validate
