How our tools reach their answers.
Transparency is the product. Here is exactly how scoring works, where the data comes from, and what we will never do.
Independence principles
- • We may earn referral fees from vendors we list. Fees never affect rankings or recommendations.
- • Every vendor is scored with the same formula. Vendors are listed alphabetically.
- • Before any introduction, we tell you who you'll speak to and whether we may earn a fee.
- • We don't publish invented statistics, reviews, testimonials or authors.
FP&A Software Finder
Each answer adds positive or negative weight to one or more of twelve capabilities. A negative weight means a lighter tool serves you better (for example, a small team doesn't benefit from enterprise-scale architecture). Each platform's fit is:
fit(d) = rating(d) / 5 if you want more of d
= (6 − rating(d)) / 5 if you want less of d
score = Σ |weight(d)| × fit(d) / Σ |weight(d)|Automated tests verify that every listed platform can rank first for a team whose requirements match it.

Stages
- Ready to scale (80+) — Foundations are in place. Focus on scaling governed use cases across the function.
- Ready to operationalize (65+) — You can move selected use cases into production with clear controls.
- Experimenting with constraints (45+) — Useful pilots are possible, but data and governance limit what you can trust.
- Exploring (25+) — Start with low-risk, human-reviewed use cases while you build foundations.
- Foundation not ready (0+) — Prioritize data, definitions and ownership before automating anything material.
Your data
Draft pending legal review
Your tool answers stay in your browser. Before any contact form goes live, this section will explain exactly what it collects, where it goes and who can access it. We don't look up your company or enrich your profile.
Limitations
- • Vendor ratings are simplified 1–5 judgments and are not yet independently verified.
- • Pricing, contract terms and implementation partner quality are not scored.
- • Readiness scores reflect your self-reported answers; they are not an audit or a benchmark.
- • Always validate any shortlist with live demos on your own data and reference customers.
